SYNDICATION ...
Welcome to Aintree Park Thoroughbred's Horse Syndication. Being part of a social syndicate provides an opportunity to become involved in the excitement of racing a horse with friends at a cost that is affordable to everyone.
Aintree Park provide the opportunity to be part of a social syndicate by leasing un-raced two year olds to be trained and raced on standard thoroughbred race horse terms (two year lease with the leasor retains 25% of race horse earnings.)
The breakdown of the syndicate will be determined by the Club, for example for a 20 x 5% share basis - the cost would be $5.50 per day per share. The overall syndicate cost will therefore be $110 per day.
The day-to-day costs are all inclusive in the payments - farrier, drench and race day vet work - but do not include extraordinary/unforeseen expenses (i.e. injury requiring veterinary care). In this situation the syndicate has the choice whether to continue or cease the lease.
The horse will be raced by the Syndicate and members have the opportunity to name the horse and select the syndicate’s racing colours.
Syndicate privileges include all the race day rights afforded by the individual Race Club. Members will be involved as a group, along with the trainer in decisions relevant to the horse’s training and racing.
As a syndicate member, you will receive a progress report and photo of the horse on a regular basis. We understand that being well informed on the progress and plans for the horse is crucial to your experience and enjoyment of being involved in a thoroughbred racehorse.
If syndicate members wish to inspect the horse we will arrange an inspection time. We encourage such interest from members.
If the chosen horse does not perform up to the expectations of the syndicate, members may elect to cancel the lease and take up a new horse at no additional cost.
There will be return benefits to your sporting club - being that Aintree Park will sponsor your Club for a sum of $10,000 per horse per year. This will be paid in quarterly instalments.
In addition to the financial benefits to your Club the syndicate will provide an exciting and positive opportunity for your Club to come together and share in the experience of racehorse ownership and the thrill associated with following the horse through the various steps to hopefully race competitively in the country or provincial areas, or become a budding superstar that performs in race meetings in town!
