​Racehouse Spelling

Aintree Park provides a comprehensive racehorse spelling and pre-training service.  Full services include farrier, veterinarian,  equine dentist and attention to specific nutritional need for a thoroughbred racehorse.  Paddocks are tree lined and double fenced with sight wire.  All horses are drenched and attended by the farrier on an eight weekly basis.

​Stallions

Aintree Park has three secure stallion enclosures constructed of post and railing 1.8m fences and a purpose built stallion serving facility.

​Broodmares

We place great importance on our mares - foaling mares are kept in close proximity and when close to foaling they are moved to our specially constructed diamond mesh paddocks to ensure safety for both the mare and her foal.

Approximately two week after foaling, the mare and her foal will leave the mesh paddocks for one of the day paddocks.

All mares are drenched and attended by the farrier on an eight weekly basis.​

Mare returns and foal ownership declarations are completed by Aintree Park.

We have two resident stallions, however if your stallion of choice is preferred, our location provides easy access to all the major walk-on thoroughbred studs in the region.

​​Foals/Weanlings

We handle all our foals from birth and teach them to lead beside their mothers.

Our foals are weaned at approximately 8 months - depending on the development of the foal - at which time they spend approximately the following two weeks in our stable complex.  During this time each foal is introduced to wearing a head collar and are handled and walked daily to encourage calmness and familiarity.  After stabling the foals are moved to one of our larger paddocks in groups of approximately six foals for companionship and socialising.

Yearlings

We provide agistment for yearlings ensuring a secure environment with individual and shared paddocks ranging in sizes from one acre to 20 acres.  We group our yearlings according to behaviour and type so as to provide the best growth environment.  Services provided to yearlings include regular handling, breaking in at approximately 18 months - depending on the development of each horse - with their education to also include introduction to floating to ensure ease of transport as they mature.
